Medals for order
The Lithuanian Mint designs and produces medals of various types (diameter 37 to 65 millimeters). They are made from silver, copper, zinc and other alloys, plated with silver or gold.
Depending on the clients’ specifications, the Lithuanian Mint can strike medals, which by themselves are works of art in small graphics, in various amounts to represent memorable dates, events or architectural designs.
We are producing classical toned (darkened) medals. Alternating tone in the medal of this type reveals precisely carried out relief. The miniature sculpture of a medal receives the volume and the space.
Medals can also be made using the traditional technology used in production of collectible and circulating coins:
- ideally polished mirror surface with the fine matted relief (“proof” quality equivalent).
- the surface and the relief have the same gloss (“uncirculated” quality equivalent).
On the edge of a medal is a possibility to engrave a short expression, sentence or interchanging ornament.
The Lithuanian Mint produces medals in small ( from 50 pcs.) and big (unlimited) amounts. The prices are contractual.
